Torn by desires,
Torn because one wish was too good to be true,
And the other was not as enticing,
Torn because time does not come back,
And the other does not hold my love.
Torn because my prayers were not being answered,
Not thinking that fate does not give an equal chance.
But fate does give a second chance,
And the intelligent redeem it,
But one who rues his past failures,
And does not heed to the omens,
Makes his future a failure,
As they say, a man makes his fate,
And I tore away my own fate.
